“Micius Salon” is a science popularization brand jointly organized by the USTC Shanghai Institute for Advanced Studies and the Nanqi Quantum Technology Communication Center in Pudong New District, Shanghai. It was initiated and founded by Academician Pan Jianwei in 2016 and will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2026.
Since its establishment, the Micius Salon has invited over 100 leading scientists from various fields to share scientific knowledge and spirit with a broad audience characterized by curiosity, a passion for science and exploration, through in-person publich engagement events and online content. Leveraging the institute's resources, quantum physics popularization has become a hallmark of Micius Salon. By building a comprehensive social media matrix, it promotes the history and cutting-edge achievements of quantum science, further advancing public engagement with science. Currently, the total number of followers across all platforms has exceeded one million.
